About the Role
Alex’s Mobile Auto Services is looking for an experienced Lead Automotive Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance at customer locations. Lead and mentor junior techs while delivering top-notch mobile service.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or GED required; automotive technology degree preferred.
ASE or equivalent certifications preferred; manufacturer-specific certifications a plus.
Experience
Minimum 2-5 years in automotive repair and diagnostics, preferably with mobile service experience.
Prior leadership or senior technician experience preferred.
Technical Skills
Expertise in diagnostics, engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and other vehicle systems.
Skilled in using diagnostic tools, scan tools, and mobile service equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot efficiently on-site with limited resources.
Leadership & Communication
Ability to supervise and train junior technicians.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple service calls per day.
Physical & Work Requirements
Must be able to lift heavy parts and work in varying positions (standing, bending, under vehicles).
Comfortable working in outdoor or mobile environments.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles.
Familiarity with fleet maintenance or corporate clients.
Knowledge of mobile service software or repair order systems.
